Marine Cadet Detachment

Give Us a Test – Join the Best (Probably)

Get to wear the best uniform of the Royal Marines for parades and ceremonial, as well as wearing combats for training.

Learn the skills required to enable you to navigate with map and compass, practice camouflage and concealment, and take charge of a section.  We can give you the opportunity to develop your leadership skills as well as making you a member of a disciplined organisation.

Teamwork is required at all times, so we train you in this skill, so you can be depended on as well as knowing you can depend on your colleagues.

And because you’re part of a Sea Cadet Unit there are all the water-borne activities too. Marine Cadets are open to boys and girls from age 13 and promotion prospects are good. So when you make Cadet Sergeant, you’ll be leading your own troops into situations where every split second counts.

As well as travel within the UK there is the opportunity to take part in exchange programmes with cadet forces from other countries.

So if you enjoy playing war on your gaming system……………

Become a Marine Cadet -- and get real.

Also, if you are an interested adult we will train you to become a member of staff. Interested? Give us a call, or pop in and see us!
